back button makes VLC Android hang

Playing any ogg vorbis file, if I press the 'back' button VLC hangs. Doesn't crash, so no crash report, but doesn't respond either. Task manager highlights VLC as not responding to the OS.

Steps to reproduce:
- copy *.ogg music file to Android device, i.e.: Cadance_to_Arms.ogg from the VLC test suite
- play music file
- press 'back' button while playing

VLC for Android version 1.7.5 (revision 5818104 2016-01-02 ARMv7 compiled by jb@vin)
Device Samsung SM-G730W8, Android version 4.4.2

I tried letting it run to see if it would un-wedge itself, but the device gets less and less responsive the longer I leave it, until the only thing I can do is take out the battery to force a reboot. When I go back to VLC -> Settings -> Developer -> Debug Logs, the "dump logcat log" is greyed out, so I don't know how to give you a crash log.

Problem was in every version of VLC since February UNTIL the 2016 July 22 version.

No longer crashes when pressing the 'back' button during ogg-vorbis playback.
