I have seen that VLC for Android does not implement A-B loop (#8255 (Android: implement A-B loop) – VLC
https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/8255), but that is not what I'm asking...
I have downloaded and installed VLC for Android version 1.3.2 (April 30, 2015); I was looking for buttons/options to loop/repeat one song/movie, but I couldn't find any.
The weird thing is that this link:
http://www.ghacks.net/2012/12/14/vlc-me ... r-android/, from 2012, actually has a screenshot with something resembling loop/repeat buttons (
http://cdn.ghacks.net/wp-content/upload ... player.jpg):
... but that apparently refers to the beta version????
On the other hand,
https://wiki.videolan.org/Documentation:Android/ does have some screenshots which are different:
... and while they look more like what I'm seeing on v. 1.3.2, even that does not accurately represent the GUI of 1.3.2. Still, here there are no loop/repeat buttons, just like on 1.3.2.
So I just wanted to confirm - are there, or are there not buttons (or options) to loop/repeat a song/video file or playlist in VLC for Android 1.3.2? If there are not, when have they been removed and why (as they apparently have been there in the beta version)?
PS: I wanted to submit a bug on this, and I tried OpenID, but Trac wanted me to confirm my email address, and on that openID I have an old inactive email, so I lost my patience with that; hope this can motivate someone to post a bug there, in case this is really a bug. Thanks!
