Video playback stops on loop when playing VLC RTP stream

I'm testing streaming playback in the Android client using an RTP MPEG-TS multicast stream broadcast by a VLC instance that's playing an mp4 file on a loop.
Connection and playback are fine up until the playback loops on the server, at which point the client ceases to display video but audio playback continues.
I'm testing with v0.1.4 of the Android VLC [Revision bf90b31 (2013-11-27)] and wondered if this was a known issue, and whether it had been resolved? Or whether anyone else had experienced the same issue and found a work around?

Try with git and desktop.

Desktop versions for Linux and Windows will loop just fine. It's just the Android release that suffers from the issue.
