...the tracking bar? :shock:

I'm sure I don't have the largest fingers in the world, but I regularly hit the tracking bar instead of pause, skipping my track halfway through and losing my place.

I guess the version on the store.

so no it's not necessary at all, and it has already been moved, but not yet released.
you can try a nightly build if you want to try it.
