Is it possible to get a built in updater for VLC?

Postby Razor512 » 23 Oct 2013 19:54

Not sure if this is a common issue or not but I currently use VLC on my HP touchpad running android, and it works great, but on the market place my device is considered incompatible so I have to constantly track down the latest build on http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/

It would be great if the application had a built in updater that will allow those of us who the market place erroneously considers the application to be incompatible, to more easily update.

Well, if you are using the Play Store, that's what it's for...

Else no, there is no updater if you are using a debug build.

only issue is that the play store will not let me install VLC because it thinks my tablet is incompatible so I am pretty much stuck with the debug builds
