Was just wondering if development for Tegra 2 devices have stopped? Last time the nightlies were updated were in October 2012.

Yes. It has been merged with the normal ARMv7A version.

Ah okay. Cool. The 720p playback seems quite laggy. Is there anything I can do to fix that?

Did you try out hardware accelerated decoding?

yep. tried that. it starts off OK for the first 3 seconds, then stutters, then VLC become unresponsive. this happens when not playing HD video (e.g. 480p). My company was thinking of using VLC to power its tabs for video playback. So far we have used dolphin-player but the results are less than stellar. Is this a limitation of the tegra 2 chipset? The native samsung player seems to work fine and players like MX player seem to handle it as well.
