VLC for Toshiba Android Tablet??

Hello All,
I have a Toshiba Android system tablet that only plays MP4...The file that I have is VOD and does not play on the tablet...when I try converting it ...for some reason the whole file is not converted.[Have tried to do it several times with different converters]
The file plays fine thru VLC on my regular computer...
I wonder if the VLC beta app is installed on the tablet... would it be able to play the VOD file without any conversion?

Yes, you should install the VLC beta app and try it out.

I don't want to install it unless, for the most part, I would be pretty sure it would work...Has anyone ever tried to see if it would play different different media files?

hi all,
just joined up here as I've purchased a toshiba at300 101, the one with the 16g ssd. I'm awaiting delivery and one of the first apps i'd like to install is vlc, but only if it works.
drunken, if you are any further forward with your query, gimme a shout and let me know how you're getting on with it.


As soon as the device is delivered i will install it and let you know how it rescts and works, or otherwise, on the at300.

edward, do you know if anyone has downloaded it to the toshiba at300 101? if not, i would be willing to give it a go and see how we get on. can you tell me it there are any specific points i should look out for when working with android 4.0? i've always used windows before and have no android experience.

This is a volunteer project. We do not have access to all devices. VLC works well on the devices that we have tried. Therefore, we need you to help beta test it on your device and report to see how it works.

(PS: if things don't decode smoothly for you, try enabling hardware acceleration in the preferences.)
