LG Viper 4G LTE, aka LG LS840

ICS 4.0.4 using the ARMv7-neon nightly build. Chipset not listed on gsmarena.com, but PDAdb.net indicates it’s the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8660.

Nightly build 2012-11-26 mostly works: web-streams work (though not through a proxy server); the test-suite runs, except in_to_tree_720p25_3000.mp4 stutters and Recital_24bit.flac doesn’t play.

Nightly build 2012-12-09 gives the message “Unfortunately, VLC has stopped” when I start it. Reverting to 2012-11-26.

Is there a log file I can submit that might help?

Tested nightly build v0.0.9 2012-12-17 (f2bb47f), and got the same successful result as with 2012-11-26: the test-suite runs, except in_to_tree_720p25_3000.mp4 stutters and Recital_24bit.flac doesn’t play.

Tested nightly build 0.0.9-git 2012-12-31 (e798a3a) and got an interesting bug. I’ve downloaded the test suite to a folder on my SD card, but VLC closes when I navigate to that folder. I can play files by opening them from a file manager.

BTW, is the stuttering and tearing in playing in_to_tree_720p25_3000.mp4 something I should expect (perhaps my phone’s CPU/GPU isn’t up for such resolution?) or is that something you hope to eliminate in the future?
