MPEG-DASH Plugin on Android 4

Postby abdo4444 » 09 Sep 2012 07:25

Does the current version of VLC that runs on Android ( regardless of the device), already have the MPEG-DASH Plugin compiled with it ?
In case of yes, who is the main maintainer of that tree to stay on contact with ?
I have a Google-Nexus Samsung phone with a TUNA board Revision 9 , At Fastboot I get the following data of the device
Product Name : Tuna
Variant : Maguro 16GB

I am working on a research project related to MPEG-DASH and I am trying to modify stuff with the MPEG-DASH plug-in before compiling and resintalling the modified VLC application
on my phone.

Would you please direct me to which tree is already supporting this device I have, the official tree from Google PlayStore does not , the App over there failed to be installed on
my device giving error that my device is not supported.
What is the conflict or missing requirements in my device and what is the VLC project plan for those device ?

The MPEG DASH plugin should be enabled by default in VLC for Android, I think. You can grab a nightly build here: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/android-v7-neon/
