VLC Android :

VLC crashes on startup. All the ARMv6 FPU builds are affected.

You are welcome to try using ndk-gdb; however be advised that it will probably require a bit of work You need the Android NDK as well as USB debugging enabled.

I guess you won't be able to do it then, since you need Linux (Cygwin support is buggy and doesn't usually work). Try installing Ubuntu or Mint in VirtualBox and then trying NDK-GDB.

Hey !

I've got some news about my problem. I tried the last nightly (14/08/2012) which launch the interface in the "audio panel"... and it didn't crash !
But... When I switch to the "video panel", it crashs when trying to make the miniature of the first video.

Seems to be the same problem as usual, a media file is causing VLC for Android to crash for some reason. Moreover, it's crashing in an extremely weird and unusual place.

The configure line is irrelevant to this problem.

I forgot to say that I copy at every fresh install the VLC data to the SD card otherwise there is an instant crash (I don't even see the interface loading).

Sorry to dig up this old thread. I just tried the latest nightly and it just won't start too.

I have a new theory : I think the program can't find the libiomx-gingerbread.so and the libvlcjni.so files.
I'm low on memory but the VLC installation never fails. I'm still running HTC Stock ROM (Android 2.3.5).
