If you mean having VLC for Android stream out ATSC DTV, then no.

If you mean having VLC for Android receive a re-transcoded and broadcasted stream from a desktop VLC, then yes.

The first thing is what i want and I know that is impossible with the current VLC.
But, Does anyone have any other way like modifying the GIT source?
The reason for saying this is because the VLC for linux is capable of streaming.

I don't think Video4Linux is available on Android, and even if it was, I don't think Android has such drivers to access these devices. Hence, support will probably not be done until these conditions are improved.

In fact, I have an embedded board and the DTV tuner driver (USB) was almost complete.
So, Please let me know if there is a way to stream ATSC DTV using this driver.
Thank you for your help...

V4L2 is probably not though, you'd have to port V4L2, and even then you would be extremely incompatible...

I don't want to capture video for editing or streaming, I just want to sit with the tablet in hand and watch video from a wireless cam that is received by a receiver that has composite A/V and RCA connectors, it would be connected to a USB capture device, this one connected to the tablet's USB input.
It works with my laptop running Ubuntu Linux.

The question is: is VLC for Android capable of this?

my atsc usb tv tuner has composite inputs like you describe but, it is an ANALOG input. NTSC in america. PAL or SECAM.

Now the way i do atsc tv streaming to my galaxy tab is to install Nextpvr on desktop then use a ts compliant player on the tab like (vplayer) and (super video floating and popup) player. open a network stream url in the player or vlc on android via wifi http://192.168.211.1:8866/live?channel=1 or open vlc on the machine running npvr and use http://localhost:8866/live?channel=1 or any other channel# in the channel list. npvr uses vlc to stream the atsc digital channels.
read the vlc streaming forum post listed in the reply above for streaming your analog cam input out to vlc on android.

to get your machines ip address open a command prompt then type ipconfig then enter

you can use vlc 2.0.2 on desktop to open a capture device (ANALOG) and then stream it.

i will test vlc nightly build since i cant get vlc from playstore in usa,
