VLC 3.5.4 for android stutter/laging video

VLC stutters every time a new line of subtitle comes. extended srt file.
When I play without subtitles the video does not stutter/laging

Is there a solusion? Or will this be fixed in update

Some improvements has been done on that for VLC 4. Not sure when it will be available though.
