Hi everyone,
I'm a "simple user" of VLC and wanted to test the new RC 1.1.0...but after install, I've got a windows C++ runtime library message saying "this application has requested the runtime to terminate"...
I searched this forum and google but couldn't find any reliable information on my pb (%appdata% is correct, delete cache , desactivate security, etc...)
Does anyone knows about this ?
for info:
I'm running Windows vista Service Pack 2 (up to date).
Thanks for help !

Can you delete %appdata%/vlc and reinstall vlc?

Actually %appdata%/vlc = C:\Users\******\AppData\Roaming\vlc contained only vlc-qt-interface.ini. I deleted this file and reinstall but pb is still the same...
Thanks for your help!

My last attempts :
- try to get libqt4_plugin.dll from somewhere else : vlc doesn't launch and no errors messages...
- try to uninstall VLC, run CCleaner and reinstall vlc 1.1.0 RC1... same pb again...
thanks for any other ideas !

I just installed the vlc from last May 31, and I am getting the same error, and the windows log also shows that the problem is related to libqt4_plugin.dll. Interestingly, I get the error dialog, but vlc eventually starts playing the .mov file I am trying to show. Of course I cannot change anything because the dialog is showing. If I close the dialog by clicking "ok", vlc immediately crashes.

I have the same behaviour that blu28 when launching directly VLC from a video file. First time I did it, VLC updated fonts cache...
Is it possible that problems come from fonts (I saw other posts talking about video files in cyrilic...?) .????
