It has been reported elsewhere that adjusting the volume with the scroll wheel in full screen mode has been fixed in pre4, however I'm still experiencing this problem in windows 7

Yep and same goes on XP, it simply has no effect at all.

The disappearing mouse cursor thing happens to me too sometimes.
--------------------
--------------------

The encoding for subtitles language has to be adjusted manually to be correct[(yes I installed it for the same language) (greek for me)].
--------------------
--------------------

The volume adjustment with keyboards integrated keys affects(uses) the player instead of systems volume in windowed mode.

(win 7 by the way)

Confirmed here too on Windows XP. The mouse sometimes disappear when I open the Preferences window. I don't know what's triggering it, though, 'cause it only happens sometimes. However, it seems to only happen when I open the Preferences window while a video is playing.

have just tested vlc 1.1.0 pre4, which is great, but still the cursor disappears on full screen, subtitles have to be adjusted manually and cannot read Arabic subtitles.
I am using windows vista home premium. Except for above minor bugs, the videolan media player remains my first choice.
Big thank you for the videolan team and all the success

There is a ticket about the subtitles issue:
http://trac.videolan.org/vlc/ticket/3617

Which has been closed to early in my opinion because of only ONE person saying that it's working for him whilst SEVERAL people are still reporting this problem as being present in v1.1.0.
It's time to re-open this ticket, don't you think Mister Chairman ?

edit
If I remember well this was happening with every nightly build I've tried in the past but when the final was out it was always ok.

I downloaded and installed this, it has been working fine with MKV files, however, it refuses to play ISO files correctly, I've got DVD rips and it skips the menu screen, just plays the menu screen music and when that's finished it opens the movie. Version 1.0.5 showed the menu screen. What's going on?

VLC 1.1.0-RC should fix this.
