Heavy flickering in the full screen mode.

Hello. In the full screen mode, to see a pop-up panel, I've should move the mouse cursor. All image flickers one time every time when I starting doing this. This is very unpleasantly for eyes, especially at night.
Not sure, is it VLC issue or not. So, I'm sorry if I'm wrong :)
Regards.

I already tried using GLX, X11, XVideo and SDL. Flickering happens with all of them.

Sorry, but that does not seem like a VLC bug.

Ok, thanks. Could be that this is the KDE Kwin issue, or anything else?

In theory, it could. But I have KDE and VLC, yet I don't see that problem. The X driver would be an obvious suspect.

I use nvidia proprietary driver. Maybe they protects their technologies and therefore do not opens its driver. Or, perhaps, this driver violates too many patents, that it will never be opened :-) Anyway, linux has a bad graphics system, maybe even worse than its sound system is. Cease to fail in one place and starts another and it never stops...

This is fully related to the Kwin compositing, when it's disabled — all is ok.
