1.1 pre3 subtitles wont load

subtitles do not load whatever format it is, .mkv with integrated subs, avi files with external subs etc...

Little offtopic but when videolan creates VLC builds for Ubuntu or it is too time consuming?

I tryed to watch the Avatar Bluray 720p, subtitles wont load...

i had to install the previous version (pre2)

OS: XP SP3 PRO with All Updates
