VLC media player 1.1.0-pre4 errors with libmpeg2

hello everyone,
i need libmpeg2 decoder to be enabled while decoding the video using vlc. I observed that vlc 1.1 has ffmpeg decoder prioritized over libmpeg2. so i force the codec using the command vlc --codec=libmpeg2. when i do this i get video output errors , which i am metioning below. Also the result display is choppy. The same video got decoded very fine on vlc 1.0.5 version. Can anyone help me with this problem??

libmpeg2 is buggy, and being phased out from VLC. Please use the FFmpeg decoder.
