Video stuttering and skipping on VLC 1.0.0 rc4

Lately Ive been watching alot of 720p quality videos and have had no problems watching movies and episode with ver 0.9.9. I upgraded to 1.0.0 rc4 and noticed that when playing more than one video, especicailly (happens with first starting of vlc for a video as well bout 15-20 min in if not sooner), the video output will stutter or lock on a single frame and skip while subtitles and audio goes unhindered. After restarting vlc and clearing unused ram, the episode or movie will be fine for another 10-20 min. Also the video card seems to rev up and run hot when it does it as well. Im not sure if its a ram leak on the vid out side or on the mb side or what.

Heres the info of what im playing
Vid codec: avc1
res: 1280x720
fps 23.976
Aud codec: mp4a
Sub: ssa
Running vlc 1.0.0 rc4 on windows xp pro 2gb ram nvidia geforce 8200
Again have no issues playing these same videos one after another thru play list or seperate openings with vlc 0.9.9
(issue happens when playing multiple videos in one instances)

It's to do with the avc1 codec, I have experienced the same problem and have bugged it already on trac

It seems VLC's decoder with this codec needs better fixing.

Same with this 720p video

VLC does not have an AVC1 codec. It's libavcodec you want to fix.

The point is that this file is playing fine in MPlayer which is also using ffmpeg/libavcodec AFAIK.
