Time disappears when moving time slider

Postby enchant » 09 Jun 2009 13:14

Version 1.0.0-rc2

If I'm watching a video and want to skip ahead to 16:00, I drag the slider to the right and watch the time indicator on the lower-right. In previous versions of VideoLan, I could simply watch that timer count up as I neared the right location. But in the current version, the time disappears and it says "Buff 0%" or "Buff 100%". The only option is to guess the location, slide to there, and wait for the time to come back, lather, rinse, repeat.

Is there some way to disable this? Does this "Buff" indicator have to share the slot with the time?

Well, no way to fix this easily. Use the tooltip over the slider to know where to go.

How do I turn on the tooltop over the slider?

Wait with your mouse over it.

I can see a tooltip if I hover my mouse over the area along where the slider slides, but once I go to the slider itself, and try to move it, there's no tooltip.

What I need is what was there before. A way to slide the slider and see what the time is so that I can accurately go to a specific area, like 22:15, rather than just a spot somewhere in the general region of 20:00-:25:00.

I'll probably do it, but I don't know when.
