hey again,

Date 5/25/09
O/S: XP Pro, SP1, used only for skins2 checkouts
vlc-1.0.0-rc1-20090521-0005-win32, used w skins2, "raptor" checkout
Hardware: Asus-P4s533, intel 2.4 ghz uniprocessor, 1 gb ram, ati-9000 gpu w proprietary legacy driver, 17" crt monitor

Issues reported here are thru observation checks only. Have been away from windows for 5 yrs or more, and don't remember much about its workings anymore. All issues reference "skins2" use.

1) Zooming works, but incorrectly, displays horizontal bars @ top/bottom when zooming initiated, ar will correct itself (default video ar) when switching to alternate layout, screen <> combo, or vice-versa. Combo-gui wants to resize to the screen-gui size (seems that way), unfortunately, this may not easily be correctible. Startup always brings up the default layout (screen) w default size, on "play", always autosizes to any video default size. Main layout, realtime switching appears to work near optimum except for zooming.

2) DVD-play works as w regular video files (avi, mpg), but zooming works like in items 1) and 3), and always crashes on "stop". Am assuming a "segfault" here, as I've no way of verifying it.

3) Visualizations work similarly, as w video on the screen-gui. Appears it would have black bars top/bottom, when zooming, if the vout were a lighter color. On the combo-gui it wants to "apparenly" resize to to dimensions of the screen-gui, both min sizes are different, this worked better on 'nix, but may be tough to workaround here.

4) Always throws up a "VLC crash reporting" dialog when restarting w "skins" gui, after any previous stop/exit or crash, as w dvd-play/stop. Unsure as to what this is, as doesn't do it w default-qt4-gui. Assuming a "segfault"again, probably related to "skins2" workings or the skin itself.

5) Audio > device setting won't save its value, always need to re-do this each startup. Always returns to 5.1 when set to "stereo" (headphone use).

6) Text...remaining time and elapsed time are offset from their set positions as defined on 'nix, as this skin (raptor) was created for/on nix. Unsure if this can be corrected at all, but if physical position is shifted to correct for XP, then it will be displaced in 'nix...one or the other! Will stay as-is unless/until a viable correction can be worked out.

1) and 3) are maybe your graphic card drivers. Deactivate RGB-YUV conversions.
2) crash is an issue.
4) yes, clear segfault. we have to fix that. Maybe erwan10 can...
5) Fill a bug.
6) screenshot?
