Two more bugs in 1.0.0-rc1

Discovered two more bugs in 1.0.0-rc1:

1. Today when I started VLC my preferences had spontaniously reset themselves. I've had 1.0.0-rc1 for almost a week and this is the first time that's happened.

2. When watching a DVD just now the windows taskbar suddenly appeared on top of the movie without me having touched anything. (I normally have the "always on top" option checked, but I can't swear that was in effect when this happened as I had just readjusted my preferences and can't remember if I restarted VLC after rechecking the "always on top" box.)
