1.0.0.0 ActiveX can no longer parse file!

Postby socialjazz » 19 Jun 2009 11:19

when i try to playlist.add the url "http://www.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-tv ... ?id=278956", it will not play.
It will only play if i add in the URL http://87.118.94.218:8000;stream.nsv (which can be found in the query url above).

All previous versions of activeX works

Why is new activeX getting shitter?

Lack of developers who care for ActiveX I guess.

It seems like the Firefox plugin has the very same things.
I doubt that it's a bug. It seems like the ActiveX object and firefox plugin were fully rewritten in VLC 1.0 and everything got changed there.
I've reverted to VLC 0.9.9 and will use it so far.

The only ActiveX developper left the team a long time ago. It's a miracle if it still worked in VLC 0.9.

This seems to be an issue in libvlc, or with the usage of libvlc. The playlist is expanded into with the direct items, and this is not properly detected.

I think this is the same issue: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=61213
and
