The Doxygen documentation for LibVLC is available here:

The LibVLC media framework API documentation is located under the "LibVLC" category.
The rest of the documentation covers the VLC plugins API.

There is also a small piece of example code for the LibVLC SDK on the wiki:

Do note that this is the documentation for the latest development branch of LibVLC.
As of today, this documentation is valid for LibVLC 1.1 and 1.2.
This documentation does not match LibVLC 1.0 or older.
