RTSP timestamp is unstable at beginning about 50 seconds!

Postby henrymark » 27 Oct 2009 09:39

Hi, all,

I try to play rtsp streaming video on VLC player, and found that the video will tremble about 50 seconds caused by incorrect timestamp.

Anyone know any option can fix this scenario??

Send RTCP-SR more often if you want stable timestamps

:D Thanks a lot for your reply!

I can't change what the video send to me.

I think it's vlclib problem, because that first, quicktime player play normally,
second, when you count 10 seconds, VLC player will play very quickly to 20 seconds, and VLC Player will show previous and next frame almost at the same second, for example, the screen shows 10 sec and back to 9sec and then back to 10sec when sequtially normal play, whcich cause to tremble screen.

BTW, the rtsp video I mentioned has a digital clock on screen, so I can find the incorrect time-shift problem. Thanks again for your help! :P
