Bootstrap fails for VLC 1.0.2

I am trying to compile VLC 1.0.2 using the source tar downloaded from the official link.
However, when ./bootstrap'ping (using cygwin on windows XP), I get this error:

generating modules/**/Makefile.am
..........modules/access/rtmp/Modules.am does not exist!

I notice that the Module.am file is indeed missing from the modules/access/rtmp/ directory in the 1.0.2, but is present in both 1.0.0 and 1.0.1 tars.

Did anyone else come across this? Will using the Modules.am from version 1.0.1 work?
