I am on to the development of a media player using vlc.
a minimal player with just streaming capability only.
So where should I start?
how can i get a detailed description on coding?

You want to code a player based on libVLC?

I exactly don't know about the capabilities of libvlc.
what I require is a media player which should be able to play directly from an IP based camera.
don't need much codecs support.
But i don't know from where to start learning/coding.
