CLion config recipe for VLC?

Trying to drop VLC code base into CLion (2023.1) for both Linux (Ubuntu) and macos.

Does anyone have a setup / recipe they are willing to share? For either os doesn’t matter. VLC in a IDE is complex, could use some helpful tips. Current git pulls compile successfully now but am extending some things and want to use CLion.

Any tips will help and I’ll post back a step by step doc once I get it to work.
