Video filter: how to get the media path?

Postby chainik » 19 Aug 2019 14:52

I'd like to know the full file path/URL playing now (using the vlc_xxx.h API), is there any way?

I have a feeling you want to know about *any* video playing in your Internet browser, and that would be impossible for VLC to know, as both software operate in distinct and isolated memory space.

There are no clean ways for video filter to access that information, and that's pretty much by API design.
