Where is the debug version of 2.2.4 of libvlc for windows?

I am currently using the 2.2.4 windows version of libvlc for playing a RTSP stream.
I am have an issue that if the resolution of the RTSP stream is increased when the stream is playing (ie I changed the stream source to a larger resolution) my application will crash. From post I have seen on the forum it seems the next step is to get debug output from VLC and that means I need a debug build.

I have had the full VLC sometimes crash on a resolution change but only rarely so it is hard to repeat.

I do not know where to get a windows debug build of VLC 2.2.4.

I have found the nightly builds that have debug versions but of course 2.2.4 is not there.
https://nightlies.videolan.org/index.html

Is version 3.0.0 considered stable and ready for use yet? (if so where do I get the stable version)
All I found were the various nightly builds for 3.0.

Thanks
Tom

Yes, you should use 3.0

Where is the stable version of 3.0?
I could find the nightly builds but have no idea where the "Stable" version of 3.0 is.

There is no stable release of 3.0.

That's not to say there isn't *a" stable release for your needs, but it's a question of finding it. As an example I am working on a cross-platform video player using VLC as the engine behind it, and I have to use several different versions of vlc 3.0 depending on the platform either because the latest doesn't build on the platform at all (iOS and tvOS tend to have this problem) or something is broken.

Best thing to do is to pick the latest 3.0 nightly, and if you have issues with it and you cannot fix it or get it fixed then try an older version.

Hopefully when they hit feature freeze things will begin to calm down!
