Can I do this ? [LibVLC general feature question]

Postby Ghost Line » 02 Dec 2014 09:16

Hello,

I'm looking for a tool who can permit me to show only part of a video on a screen.

Let me explain : in a 1024x768 video, I need to display in one screen the [600x600] to [1000x1000] video zone. Ideally, I'm looking for a way to livestream this video.

At the end, my point is to "extract" parts of a video to multiple realtime streams.

As an example, I try to share a security live stream showing multiple safe doors to each owner of safe.

I don't formerly ask for any solution, but only if it's possible to do that with libVLC (I program in AutoIt, so in the case I can do my "things" with LibVLC, I've to learn another language).

Thanks in advance for all you answers !

Not really, no. You can hack it though, using the crop parameters.
