RTSP over UDP or TCP option

Hello

Does anybody know if the below options work to switch between UDP and TCP traffic?

rtsp-transport
:rtsp-tcp

When i check with TCPView i cannot see any changes
And when experimenting through VLC Player windows I have not seen a option that changes the stream to UDP its always on TCP

RTSP proper is always over TCP. Only the data transport can change.
