Set settings of a webcam

Postby cookiewill » 28 Apr 2016 09:01

Hi,

Let's say you want to capture images from a webcam with VLC/libVLC on Linux.
If you have a webcam supporting multiple codecs, can you set the one you want with libVLC ?
I have found some examples on this forum but none sets the codec.

Thank you in advance

No, you need to pass it with --v4l2-* parameters when initializing libVLC.
