Question on which module to use

If the computer has 2 NIC, and I need to specify a network card to use to listening to an incoming video stream, which module should I use?

Also, if I need to set something like this " :network-caching=1000", which module should I explore?

I tried searching the list but nothing seems promising.

In most cases, this is a matter of IP stack configuration, not something under VLC's control.
