live rgb images as input

Postby jacobs1 » 07 Jun 2013 08:51

Is it possible to feed vlc with a live rgb images feed ?

I have a component that generates raw rgb images and I want to transcode and stream them using libvlc capabilities.

Is this even possible ?
what is the proper way to create a an input source for libvlc ?
any examples out there ?

Thanks.

You could have a look at imem for that.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for.
Can you also tell me how do I pass the raw bytes to libvlc ?
