Logging/Error Messages

Postby michig54 » 02 May 2012 22:09

I can't figure out how to get logging/error messages using libvlc 2.0.1. I am only interested in getting standard error messages. For instance, in vlc if input can't be opened, you'll get the error message:

Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://10.0.0.195:80'. Check the log for details.

How do I get these types of messages to display for the user. Thanks!

The UI dialog callbacks are not currently exposed through LibVLC. A sponsor or a patch would be required to get them in the next version.

OK, are there any other logging or error messages that I can receive?

Not in LibVLC 2.0.1.
