How to grab frame using the activex control vlcplugin2

I have displayed the video using the activex control vlcplugin2, then I wang to grab a fram from the video stream, and I found there is a function named takesanpshot(), but I don't know how to use it, or any other mothod to grab a frame.

Since I konw the exe file vlc.exe can do this work, ut I don't konw how it works, help !
