Getting and Saving Video

Hello there!
I'm trying to develop a system for test since 3 days ago but without results.
I want to get the stream of the video from the CamIp and then visualize it into a java application.
I need also be monitoring the video, so i need the stream to verify if some change occurs in the stream.
Someone know can i do it? I was trying to get the exact point where the vlc print in the windows the stream but couldn't find it...
Another thing... someone knows how can i save the video that i take from the CamIp by the vlc?
