Unable to access web interface: error compiling JSP

Hi,

trying out VLMa for the first time, and...

HTTP ERROR: 500

Any clue? OS is openSUSE 11.0 x86_64 (mostly default install),

Is this really the path to a JDK? (not JRE) Javac is needed in order to compile JSP pages.

Nice. Since there are not many people using VLMa for now, your feedbacks about installation and use are welcome. (How easy was it to install? Did you manage to do what you want with VLMa? etc.)

I was going to create my own topic, but I think it's very much related to this one.

I get the same error while accessing http://localhost:8080/vlmaw/

I'm using Windows XP and $JAVA_HOME is set to JRE folder: C:\Program files\Java\jre1.6.0_07

I tried changing $JAVA_HOME to JDK folder: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_18 and I get similar erros while executing % bin\vlmad start and % bin\vlmaw start

You get this error because you use a JDK of the 1.4 series. Upgrading to JDK 5 or 6 should fix the problem.

You get this error because you use a JDK of the 1.4 series. Upgrading to JDK 5 or 6 should fix the problem.
It worked, thanks. I had download the first version of JDK I found :)
