VLS error: Net4Output initialisation failed

Postby guest » 25 Jan 2004 21:59

Hi,

does anybody know, what I'm doing wrong? Card is working, I can cat /dev/video > stream.mpg, VLS recognizes the card but can't stream. Why not?

vls is for debian unstable, Maintainer: Sam Hocevar (Debian packages) <sam+deb@zoy.org> Version: 0.5.4+cvs20031028-2

TIA,
Lauri

Damn VLS doesn't work. Documentation is poor. Telnet interface does not authenticate even the default users from default vls.cfg, etc, etc

Got VLSM (mini) from cvs, compiled it (very easy) and bingo! Now multicasting PVR-350 to ~30 computers. Clients are using VLC of course.

cat /dev/video | vlms -d 239.255.0.1:1234 -a mpeg -

So simple it is!

Go grab it,
Lauri
