Hi

I'm new to use this program and i want to know if it can be usefull for my intent!

I need to do a simply process that stream audio on demand by a server to a web page. Can VLC do this? :?:

0) A web server (WHICH?) where is running VML or a simple VLC program.

1) An user from a web page select a file (from a list) and send the URL of a movie to server VLC

2) VLC read URL media and convert/filter/other action and transmit it back in streaming by webpage result to client

It's possible to do it with VLC?

Thanx a lot
Lork

hey Lork,

I am a noob as well but from what I've read this is doable. You just basically will use vlc to create either broadcast stream or ondemand where clients on your web will be able to watch it. As far as usage I don't know. Good luck

Hi xcaldk74

in my mind i had idea to implement an internet service that provide only audio streaming, from an youtube video url...

That's migth be usefull for all peaople that use youtube as a "radio" and for all that on mobile device have limitation on trafic download in theyr internet connection!!!!
