Input type "v4l" invalid

Input type "v4l" invalid

hi all,
i m running a lan of 50 computers and i am trying to stream video from my bttv card to widows mechines . i am using fedora core 2 (i think that this already has the bt878 driver included) . ican see the video using xawtv. but when iam starting the vls server using the commnad

vls -vv -f /usr/local/etc/videolan/vls/vls.cfg


i am geting the following error

2004-08-22 20:17:47 [ERROR/Vls] Input type "v4l" invalid


don't know what to do.. I tried to reinstall twice, but it's the same thing...

I'm starting to lose my nerves..

Please help me guys.

Are you sure you are using the SVN VLS version? The "v4l" feature is only available in this version.

can u tell me where i can find the svn version ?

currently iam using the following
