Linux or FreeBSD

Hi all...I just want to ask opinion whats the best option for IPTV server connected to Set Top Box on client side w/ mininum clients of 300 using STB on their side.....do Redhat linux or FreeBSD is the best OS best suit for us IPTV provider...

Linux might be better known, so better support and choice.

What flavour of Linux ? Debian :D
