Compiling VideoLAN Server on BeOS 5 PPC
Posted: 05 Jul 2004 23:00
I have downloaded the source code of VideoLAN Server to compile it for my machine. It is a dual PPC with BeOS running on it.
The make command does not work (as I expected). I think I have to change the Makefile. Maybe the reason is the different file structure of BeOS
There are two pathes for bin, lib and that kind of stuff
/boot/home/config/add-ons
/boot/home/config/bin
/boot/home/config/etc
/boot/home/config/lib
/boot/beos/apps
/boot/beos/bin
/boot/beos/etc
/boot/beos/system/lib
/boot/beos/system/servers
/boot/apps
The home path like the usr path of Linux, I think.
Has anyone an idea to compile. If the solution works I could offer the compiled binary version or at least could write a amnual for the community.
