Environment: MacOS 10.4.10: I couldn't get the built-in interface in VLC 0.8.6c (Intel)
to generate SAP announcements, so, I grabbed miniSAPserver. It compiled, runs,
and generates announcements.

1) I would like to stream an MPEG-4 file but can't seem to find the magic to get
the announcement to work so that another MacOS 10.4.10 system VLC will
correctly interpret the MPEG-4 stream. When I join the group, the stream
arrives at the host, but, is not interpreted by VLC, and, the counters show
as zero.

2) It announces every second or so, no matter what I put in the sap_delay.
Apparently I'm not the only one: tcpdump shows a lot of announcements
coming in at very fast intervals. How about changing the default to 10 sec
instead of 1 sec?

Reading the above message, I am wondering whether anyone has gotten miniSAPserver to successfully announce MPEG4 H.264 encoded SAPs to VLC, which I would like to do. These would be multicast streamed from QuickTime Streaming Server.
The streamed files decode fine, I just want clients to see the SAPS.
I hope this is not interpreted as a "VLC related" question, if so, my apologies.
