Hi
I am new to video lan and i want to install a videolan server VLS for streaming data from my webcam but the problem is that i am not able to sucessfully run it.i have followed all the steps given at the below webste for installation on linux
http://www.videolan.org/doc/videolan-ho ... l#id291024
But problem is when i want to configure webcam support from page
http://www.videolan.org/doc/videolan-howto/en/ch08.html
they ask me to install SVN version
You need the SVN version of VLS. When you compile it, you must do a ./bootstrap and ./configure --enable-v4l --with-ffmpeg=PATH (where PATH is the absolute path to the directory where you compiled ffmpeg, and not the relative path !).
Can any body please help me how can i continue from this step further on i have no idea what to do ? where i can get SVN version from and how to install it for webcam.please help me i would be very thankful
