V4l device needs to use CVS?

Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

V4l device needs to use CVS?

I am configuring VLs for Linux.
My input is V4l device, I must use CVS. What is this?
