device name of bt878 on windows XP

Postby Petr » 11 Mar 2004 20:04

Hi

A have installed a TV card with BT878 chip. It works fine with e.g. VLC. But I don't know how to configure "input" in vls.cfg. I suppose I have a problem with the device name. Don't you know how to write the device name in Windows XP ? In Linux it is easy: /dev/video or similar. But how in Windows XP ????

Thanks for each info.

Petr

Don't use VLS on Windows, it is useless as it can only stream files from your hard drive.

VLC is also a streaming server though and if you can play your TV card with it, then you should be able to stream the video as well (use the streaming wizard menu).
