Recording or uploading to remote server

I need to relay a stream, but it should either cache or upload via ftp to webserver so it can be streamed on my fast webserver rather than on my slow pc connection relay. I been looking everywhere how to do this, but havent had any luck...some soln will be higly appreciated. thanks in advance
