live radio with 2 people

hey, my names nate, my friend and I would like to start up our own radio show, and vlc seems like a good way to do it, but, I am broadcasting from my house and he lives someplace else...so how would I go about getting him onto the show? I have heard patching him in through skype was possible, but, I don't know, so, can anybody help?
