Hi all, I'm trying to improve my-works drama hall with dynamic set designs for performers(actors,dancers, singers). As i'm doing it off my own back so the cheaper the better (also i'm curious). We currently use dmx static lights however i would like to use moving images or video on projector multi-screens (in multi location) say x5.
VLC seems the closest to my idea by setting up a video server and running clients with the video-wall-filter & start-up scripts.
I can get hold of projectors (poor throw 3meterx3meter) & laptops (clone VGA output). My thought is custom videos in playlist streamed and triggered by master; Multiple inexcusable clients linked to projectors.

I've not put this into practices and or even started work on the start-up scripts for clients, i guess for big productions the pros use expensive LED screens, video controls, etc. All of which are not in my scope.

I'm sure there's a better way, but how. Ideas welcome...
